Meeting Synopsis – July 14, 2009

The July 14th Meeting was a blast. Some quick highlights:

This weeks Toastmaster was Bert Freeman. Bert also presented us with our Word of the Day – “down.”

We had two speakers. Bill Szatmary did a speech from the Public Speaking Manual, one of the Advanced Communications Manuals. Bill staged a Press Conference from the company that owns the Burr Oak Cemetery in Chicago that resold previously used grave plots. Bill gets commended on choosing such a difficult subject for his speech. Really? Can this Company ever come out looking good?

We had a guest speaker from the Steele Creek Toastmasters, David Young. David gave an intense speech about none other than “intensity.”
